What evidence do we currently have about the effectiveness of blended learning?

The research on blended learning specifically is still emerging. There is, however, a large, rigorous, historical body of evidence supporting the effectiveness of personalized learning and learning for mastery, both of which blended learning can enable at scale.

Implementing evidence-based practices requires multiple stakeholders to take coordinated action utilizing a breadth of knowledge and skills traditionally associated with very different roles and responsibilities. Researchers, educators, administrators and policy makers, funders, and community and industry members all have a role to play in advancing our learning, dissemination, competence, and implementation of blended learning to improve our understanding of effectiveness.
